Our Plea For Your Further Help

A lot of things will happen in the next couple of weeks. Now is the time when we really do need your help.

As a priority, we need to identify District Councillor candidates for the election to be held on 2nd May 2019. Please ransack your email “Contacts” and share this post with anyone you may know in the East Suffolk District. The new Wards are listed at:

We recognise it will be difficult to change the voting habits of many older voters, so we need to attract the support of the 18-35 year olds, if we’re to make an impact. Electing the right District Councillors will make a huge difference to a wide range of issues; examples are more starter homes, increased social housing, the unnecessary sacrifice of prime agricultural land and the mutilation of wildlife.

Voters can influence all these things by (i) registering to vote and (ii) voting for an independent candidate on May 2nd. If you know people within SCDC who could be interested in becoming or supporting an Independent Councillor, please ask them to contact us at klg@innocence.uk.com . We can help!

SCDC currently intends the proposed Local Plan to be in the hands of the Inspector at the end of March; it will then be considered in June (unless SCDC’s communities vote to change things!). With the right councillors in place, we can and will make significant changes in a very short timescale. Please see our recent website blogs to understand how change will come about.
